La Strada Street Mall Concept, the developer of one of the first strip mall projects from Romania, announced the construction of two new commercial centers, which are set to be delivered by the end of the year.
The first project La Strada was inaugurated in the Popesti Leordeni suburb near Bucharest, close to a high density residential area, following a €5 million investment.
The developers of La Strada are currently working to deliver La Strada Street Mall Concept Brasov and La Strada Street Mall Concept Militari, first scheduled for inauguration in Q2 and the second one in Q4 of 2018. The investment in the two new commercial centers projected by the developers is €10 million.
“La Strada Street Mall Concept brings a new dimension to modern retail and was born due to the dynamics of the Romanian real estate market, which is crossing a period of continuous change and development. In recent years, the local market was very attractive for big commercial centers but we are entering a new era with the focus on smaller customized projects, on proximity and areas with high density of inhabitants, such as the new residential districts. On the one hand, this trend of the market emerges from the fact that most of the cities from Romania doesn’t support big retail projects anymore and, on the other hand, is a result of the consumers changing behaviour which are drowing a new direction in the retail,” said the representatives of La Strada Romania.
La Strada Street Mall Concept commercial centers are unique when it comes to configuration, dimensions and locations, respectively residential districts with many inhabitants.
The first La Strada Street Mall Concept to be delivered this year will be in Brasov. Developed on a plot of 5,000 sqm, La Strada Street Mall Brasov will comprise 2,000 sqm of commercial spaces. The project is located in the Bartolomeu district, close to the Avantgarden 3 residential complex, an area with young inhabitants and a very active economic environment.
The rents of La Strada Street Mall Brasov are managed by the consultancy firm Coldwell Banker Brasov. “We are pleased to work for this project and to contribute to the development of this very new concept of retail designed to urban densities,” said Coldwell Banker representatives.
La Strada redefines the collaboration between developer and the tenant which can benefit from a new concept, modular spaces, as well as lower rental costs than those from big commercial centers.
La Strada strip malls are projected as the new urban centers dedicated to the community, aimed to reunite a wide range of customized services, very accessible, including also daily opportunities for parents and children.
