LemonTree, in cooperation with Commercecon, is launching its latest investment, BOOSTER Zabrze. A cornerstone has just been laid at the construction site, marking the start of construction work, with a symbolic time capsule hidden inside. The development will ultimately offer more than 100,000 sqm of innovative service, logistics and office space.
The LemonTree development is an example of a complete redefinition of the service and logistics space concept. BOOSTER Zabrze is being built near the intersection of the A1 and A4 highways, which are parts of the E75 and E40 European routes. Nearby are streetcar and bus stops and numerous retail and service points. Such a location is important for city and regional logistics operations and business activities requiring proximity to the city. It also provides easy access for employees of the complex. BOOSTER’s location makes it attractive from the perspective of both tenants and future investors.
“Wanting to maintain the momentum of the city’s development, we establish cooperation with such partners who can bring long-term value to Zabrze. That’s why we decided to act together with LemonTree because the philosophy of the brand is close to our hearts, and most importantly, it is reflected in an investment that will not only bring business benefits but also respond to the needs of the residents,” says the Mayor of Zabrze Malgorzata Mańka-Szulik.
“At LemonTree, we want to build in the best locations and offer investments that will blend into the urban fabric and the immediate surroundings. Our ambition is to provide an ideal place to operate and scale our business, meeting the tenets of sustainable development and responding to the needs of today’s business. That’s what BOOSTER is,” says Bartłomiej Krawiecki, CEO of LemonTree. “This investment wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for exemplary cooperation with the city government. This is a perfect example of how businesses can join forces with local authorities to work together for the benefit of the local community.”
“BOOSTER Zabrze is an investment in which innovation is not only the concept of space development – with a comfortable zone for business and a public recreation and sports area, but also the approach to the construction process, for which we are responsible. I am very pleased that we will have the opportunity to use several modern utility solutions, used so far in the most daring, environmentally-friendly construction projects,” says Hubert Hoffman, CEO of Commercecon.
One of BOOSTER’s hallmarks will be the carefully arranged, publicly accessible space around the complex. It will include a multifunctional playground and a food and beverage area. There will also be an exhibition space for local artists to use to promote their work. The whole area will be enhanced with biodiverse greenery including tall trees and small architecture. BOOSTER will also be distinguished by its original facade, which the renowned studio Group 5 Architects were invited to design.
The implementation of solutions to reduce the environmental impact of an investment is one of the main objectives of LemonTree’s strategy, and this is reflected in the design of BOOSTER. Among other things, the complex will use special cement, the production of which emits less carbon dioxide. Some of the energy needed to power the complex will come from photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. The design of the facilities themselves—including increased insulation of the walls and roof, and adequate daylight—will ensure greater energy efficiency of the complex. BOOSTER will also feature charging stations for electric cars.
