RTL Polska, a logistics company specialising in providing services to customers from the clothing industry, has decided to lease nearly 1,400 sqm of warehouse and office space in Prologis Park Chorzów. It’s another occupier transaction that AXI IMMO advised.
RTL Polska offers international transport services, storage, packaging and distribution of goods. The company cooperates with the largest manufacturers in the clothing industry, providing a complete logistics service. Its customer portfolio includes the world’s most recognisable brands. RTL Polska was established in 2007 due to the development of an Italian company Autotrasporti Rutilli Adolfo, which covers the whole of Europe in the Fashion sector.
“We cooperate very successfully with AXI IMMO during looking for warehouse space in Warsaw. So we decided to entrust the company again and give it another assignment to find a distribution centre in Silesia. While we decided to open an additional cross-dock warehouse, we focused on investments offering as many docks as possible in a relatively small area, increasing ECR, i.e., efficient customer service. It turned out that an additional advantage of the distribution centre in Prologis Park Chorzów is the availability of a gate from level 0, improving our logistics service,” explains Piotr Kowalczyk, RTL Polska.
The RTL Polska logistics company will occupy a corner warehouse module, offering eight docks and one entrance gate, with an area of 1246 sqm, while an additional 151 sqm will be used for office and social space.
“The client was looking for a cross-dock warehouse, on the Bratislava – Warsaw route, which would allow reloading from south-eastern and south-western Europe, distribution in southern Poland and supplying the main Polish distribution centre in Warsaw. Therefore, its proximity to the A4 motorway junction and the A2 motorway junction was of great importance in selecting the Chorzów investment,” adds Damian Kińczyk, Associate Director, Industrial and Logistics Agency, AXI IMMO.
“An undoubted advantage of Prologis Park Chorzów is its location, situated close to major international transport routes. We want to offer our new customer more than only modern space. We provide full technical support and 24-hour security, as well as a safe and comfortable workplace for his employees,” notes Piotr Brycki, Leasing & Customer Experience Manager, Prologis.
Prologis Park Chorzów is a modern 251,500 sqm distribution centre offering large manoeuvring areas, three independent entrance gates and numerous parking spaces for customers and guests. The warehouse complex is located near Katowice, and one of its biggest advantages is its proximity (15 km) to Gliwice-Sośnica junction, which connects two major motorways – A1 and A2. Prologis Park Chorzów offers transport facilities for employees, including public transport stops and bicycle sheds, which increases the investment’s attractiveness in the eyes of tenants.
