Saint-Gobain Sekurit, a manufacturer of car glass and solutions for the automotive market, has leased 21,300 sqm in CTPark Iłowa located in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The company will move into the largest building of the complex (110,000 sqm), in which it will conduct production and warehouse operations.
CTPark Iłowa, being developed by CTP, will deliver three facilities with a total area of 170,000 sqm to the Polish market. According to the developer, the project is one of the largest warehouse and industrial parks currently under construction in the country. Last November, CTP announced the commercialization of 40,000 sqm, i.e. the entire building, to which Hermes Group, a European courier service provider, will move in. Now Saint-Gobain Sekurit joins the group of tenants. The company will start operations in the new location later this year.
The new additional warehouse and production area will allow the local organization Saint-Gobain Sekurit Encapsulacja branch to increase the development capacity of the plant, increase the number of glass already produced for the OEM market and mobility in the logistics area due to the direct location of the CTPark Iłowa warehouse on the A18 motorway.
The CTP logistics and industrial park is located at the intersection of the international route connecting Berlin and Wrocław, just 40 km from the Polish-German border. The location in the Special Economic Zone provides investors with the highest level of tax relief in the country.
“Lubuskie is a relatively young, but at the same time the fastest growing logistics market in Poland. It is an excellent location for large players as well as smaller entities that plan to expand or relocate in Central and Eastern Europe. CTP’s development strategy is focused on such directions – providing tenants with the possibility of unbridled growth, appropriate transport infrastructure and human resources. The lease agreement with Saint-Gobain Sekurit is further confirmation that our parks create an optimal environment for work and business development,” explains Bogi Gabrovic, CFO at CTP Poland.
In the first half of 2022, the Lubuskie voivodship recorded the largest increase in demand among warehouse investments in Poland – more space was leased here than in the whole of 2021 – Colliers data indicate. The developer is in the process of negotiations with other companies interested in the remaining space available within the complex.
The investment is characterized by energy-efficient solutions compliant with BREEAM certification standards, bringing tenants closer to cost-effective, sustainable operations in the building. All roofs in CTP investments are prepared for the installation of photovoltaic panels, with a minimum of 10 percent of their area covered by skylights. Ventilation flaps, on the other hand, provide plenty of natural light and are an additional source of clean energy.
The facility in Iłowa is still under construction. In total, CTP currently has 450,000 sqm under construction throughout Poland of which 250,000 will be commissioned in the coming months.
