Sunrise Medical, a leader in the innovation, manufacture, and distribution of advanced assistive mobility devices and solutions, has leased 9,200 sqm of modern space at MLP Gorzów, as the very first tenant signed up for the brand new logistics centre project. The newly built facility will be ready for occupancy by the end of February 2024. The project is expected to undergo a BREEAM New Construction certification of ‘Excellent’.
The tenant was assisted throughout the negotiation process by Knight Frank. “When providing advice to our client Sunrise Medical, we recognised the paramount importance of quality. Right from the outset of our discussions with potential developers, our vision was that of a warehouse that would be a showcase of excellence. In particular, Sunrise Medical was keen to find a property featuring cutting-edge technologies and environmentally-friendly solutions. Throughout the entire process, MLP exhibited a highly professional approach, ensuring the delivery of a top-notch product, which reinforced the initial interest in MLP Gorzów, our client’s ultimate choice. As a property consultancy, we take pride in facilitating such a mutually advantageous deal,” says Przemysław Jankowski, Senior Leasing Manager at Knight Frank, who represented the tenant.
The space allocated to Sunrise Medical is situated in a building whose construction commenced in May this year on a speculative basis, i.e. without securing pre-lease commitments. The ongoing phase of the project is geared towards providing a total of 20,000 sqm of modern warehouse space.
“We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of our first lease contract for the brand-new logistics centre in Gorzów Wielkopolski. The fact that this deal was concluded during the initial phase of development confirms strong investor interest in our cutting-edge offering, strategically located near Poland’s western border. We are thus confident of our ability to swiftly commercialise the remaining space currently under construction on a speculative basis and achieve full occupancy before its scheduled completion in the first quarter of next year,” said Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board, Chief Development Officer, MLP Group S.A.
MLP Gorzów will be built across an 11.7-hectare plot, offering a total of 53,300 sqm of versatile warehouse and light manufacturing space. The centre will be tailored to cater primarily to tenants operating in such sectors as e-commerce, logistics, distribution, and light industrial manufacturing.
