Leroy Merlin to Open First Store in Pitesti in H2 2024
Leroy Merlin, Romania’s second-largest DIY retailer, will open its first store in Pitesti in autumn 2024. The new 9,000 sqm store will be part of the Pitesti Shopping Park, developed by Square 7 Properties and brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. This expansion reflects the company’s strategy to meet the growing local demand for home improvement products and services. Leroy Merlin currently operates 21 stores across Romania.
Mathieu Bauduin, CEO of Leroy Merlin Romania, said: “The market in Pitesti is constantly expanding, and we are aware from our discussions with the inhabitants that they are planning both small and large renovation/construction projects.”
Cowork by Memos Expands in Łódź’s Red Tower
Warimpex has expanded its coworking space in Łódź’s Red Tower due to rising demand for flexible office solutions. Managed by Memos, the new space on the 11th floor adds 600 sqm of serviced offices and hot desks. The Red Tower, a prestigious office building in the city centre, now hosts four floors of coworking spaces totalling 2,400 sqm. The interiors feature artworks by local artists, offering a vibrant and productive work environment.

P3 Katowice City Achieves BREEAM Outstanding Certification
P3 Logistic Parks’ modern warehouse in Katowice, Poland, has earned the highest BREEAM “Outstanding” rating for sustainability. The 23,000 sqm facility incorporates advanced eco-friendly features, including solar panel readiness, energy-efficient lighting, and extensive greenery. This certification highlights P3’s commitment to environmentally responsible development and supports local logistics and employment.

23,000 sqm Leased at MLP Pruszków II Logistics Centre
MLP Group has signed a long-term lease for 23,000 sqm at its MLP Pruszków II logistics centre near Warsaw. The new tenant, a distribution company, will use the space for warehousing and offices, with the facility available from September 2025. MLP Pruszków II, targeting 420,000 sqm, is the largest logistics complex in the region and features a modern, sustainable design adhering to BREEAM standards.
