Elektrownia Powiśle is set to take centre-stage on Warsaw’s culinary map. The prestigious location will be home to well-known and popular restaurants, including Tel Aviv Urban Food, Pełną Parą and Soul Food. They will be part of the International Food Hall located in the historic, renovated part of the former power plant. The opening is scheduled for spring next year.
The Food Hall at Elektrownia Powiśle will offer delicious culinary concepts from around the world. Lovers of vegetarian and Middle Eastern cuisine will enjoy Tel Aviv Urban Food, which aims to bring Tel Aviv street food into the beating heart of Powiśle. The vegan menus will include variations on hummus, falafel, breakfast options, lunches and enticing desserts, including many that are gluten-free.
“We are looking forward to opening in the historical Elektrownia Powiśle and are happy that we will be able to contribute to the revitalization of Warsaw’s industrial architecture. Just like the famous former power plant, we also combine modernity with a timeless tradition. We are also pleased with the high level of service, and the fact that among dozens of gastronomic points we will be providing healthy, fresh and diverse choices of food to visitors and nearby office workers,” comments Tomasz Wawrzyniuk from Tel Aviv Restaurant.
Soul Food are Warsaw’s burger pioneers and famous for the quality of their meat and speciality toppings. In addition to burgers, the menu is set to include other specialties, such as slow cooked meat, pulled pork and beef, and marinated ribs smoked in a special stove-smokehouse. Marek Ignaciuk, a chef with over ten years of experience in the USA, England and Australia, is the creative force behind the dishes.
Pełną Parą is famous for its dim sum, Chinese steamed dumplings. The menu aims to represent modern Asian cuisine with a twist. In addition to dim sum, there will be soups, salads, Thai curry and Pad Thai. Pełną Parą will be in two locations in Elektrownia Powiśle: the food hall and in a separate restaurant next to one of the piazzas.
Dariusz Domański, Development and Leasing Director at White Star Real Estate, said: “We are delighted that Elektrownia Powiśle is attracting such diverse culinary concepts that will appeal to people who love great quality food and spending time in a relaxed atmosphere. All three restaurants are run by Polish restaurateurs who already have their thriving restaurants in other parts of the city and have a large crowd of loyal fans. Now the time has come for Elektrownia Powiśle: it will become a bustling place in a dream location for both consumers and restaurateurs. The new tenants – Tel Aviv, Pełną Parą and Soul Food – fit perfectly into our multifunctional concept, combining gastronomy and retail with entertainment.”
