Xella Polska has decided to stay in the GreenWings office building in Warsaw. Its Polish head office has occupied more than 1,400 sqm in GreenWings since September 2015.
“Sustainability is deeply embedded in the DNA of our energy-efficient building materials. This is why, when choosing the location for our Warsaw headquarters, we considered workspaces with green certificates and low carbon footprints. We chose to remain in GreenWings as it meets these criteria; we also value the flexibility of our office space, which has gone through significant change over the last eight years alongside the transformation of our business. We also appreciate the openness of the property manager and landlord, who will both always go the extra mile to meet our evolving needs. With the extension of our lease, we are gearing up for a major revamp of our entire office space. Xella is unique in that despite a hybrid work mode being available, our team wants to work in the office and meet face-to-face as often as possible. The planned refurbishment is to increase the share of meeting and conference spaces,” says Tomasz Malkowski, Communication and PR Specialist, Xella Polska.
The tenant was represented during the lease renewal process by international real estate advisory firm Savills.
“In these more challenging times on the office market in Warsaw, existing buildings are attracting strong occupier interest. Xella in Poland remains committed in its business strategy to sustainability and environmentally friendly construction. Unsurprisingly, guided by this principle, it chose to remain in its well-designed office space in a building made from modern and sustainable materials. I had the pleasure of representing the tenant during the lease renewal process,” says Karol Grejbus, Associate Director of Tenant Representation, Savills Office Agency.
“This is the third time that Xella Polska has renewed its lease in GreenWings, which is the best evidence that this office building provides an optimal and comfortable work environment for its users. Equally importantly, the tenant decided not to resize its office footprint. This is another indication that although remote working is very popular, the office is still an integral part of our daily work. In a challenging macroeconomic environment we need innovation and collaborative work more than ever before, and offices – more than anything else – provide the right conditions for that,” comments Katarzyna Evans, Leasing Manager, Cushman & Wakefield.
GreenWings is a modern office building designed by a renowned architectural firm JEMS Architekci. It offers close to 11,000 sqm of leasable space. The property has been BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certified for its sustainable building materials and innovative solutions that minimise service charges.
