Centos Сentral Logistics, a leading logistics provider with warehouses in Germany, Russia, Finland and Ukraine, has signed an agreement to lease more than 18,000 sqm of space at Omega Lease Kaluga, a production and logistics centre being developed by Delta Construction at the Vorsino Industrial Park in 70 kilometres southwest of Moscow. Colliers International represented the interests of the developer in the transaction as exclusive lease and marketing agent for the property.
Delta Construction as a general contractor has been specialised in industrial projects and since 2003 successfully completed many industrial projects for the international manufacturers such as Nestle, Tetra Pak, Zuegg, Cargill etc. The new warehouse of Centos, a global logistics network headquartered in Germany, includes 15,261 sqm of storage and freight-handling space, a mezzanine of 2,160 sqm, office space totalling 795 sqm as well as technical rooms (308 sqm). Centos plans to use this facility both to serve existing clients and to win contracts with potential clients which have already taken up residency at the Vorsino Industrial Park, such as Nestle, Avon and Samsung. The complex could also potentially serve as an auto parts supply hub for the nearby Kaluga automotive assembly cluster.
Omega Lease Kaluga is being developed by Delta Construction, which earlier this year appointed Colliers International as exclusive marketing agent for the second phase of the complex. This took place after the international consultancy successfully executed the lease of the first phase of Omega Lease building to Metsa Tissue, Finnish tissue Production Company. The warehouse complex is more than 25,000 sqm, situated at the intersection of the Kiev highway (M3) and A-108, only 20 km from the boundary of new Moscow’s territory and 70 km from MKAD, with good road access to the capital and to Kaluga.
Vladislav Ryabov, Partner, Regional Director of Warehouse, Land and Industrial Department, Colliers International Russia, commented: “With this agreement, we have nearly completed the lease-up of our exclusive project in the Kaluga region. By understanding the needs of logistics tenants, we were able to accommodate them with a facility that fits client timing of delivery. We are also pleased with the heightened level of interest in our projects, both recently completed and currently underway, that take advantage of the strategically located warehouse developments we are offering in this and in the other regions of Russia.”
