Fanex Trade will open a warehouse in 7R City Flex in Gdynia

Fanex Trade, a distributor of FMCG global brands, is increasing its warehouse facilities in the Tri-City. Due to the expansion of its operations, Fanex Trade will occupy 5,800 sqm of space in an urban warehouse in Gdynia belonging to the 7R City Flex Last Mile Logistics network. JLL advised the tenant on selecting the new location.

Fanex Trade has been operating in Tri-City since 2006. The company has an established position in the beverage and sweet market in Poland. Currently, the company is focusing on developing its business in foreign markets. Due to its ambitious business plans, Fanex Trade has decided to change its location. For its new headquarters, the company has selected a 7R urban warehouse.

7R City Flex warehouse in Gdynia is a facility that meets the needs of logistics, ‘last mile’ and manufacturing operations. This A-class investment offers tenants a total of 14,000 sqm of space in an excellent location. The warehouse’s close proximity to the Port of Gdynia, which is recognized as a pearl of the Polish Economy and an intra-European logistics centre, as well as the Tri-City ring road, are key advantages of the 7R facility. The building is scheduled for completion in June 2021.

“Northern Poland is a strategic region for 7R. We built our first warehouse here, and we are still developing a network of big box and SBU facilities in the region. Our City Flex will be the first city warehouse in Gdynia, to be located so close to the port and city centre. We believe that Fanex Trade will successfully realize its ambitious growth plans at this address,” says Maciej Krawiecki, Head of Leasing at 7R.

Pomerania is a key location due to the growing importance of maritime and intermodal transport in supply chains, which are developing despite pandemic related restrictions. The thriving Port of Gdynia and the deepwater terminal DCT Gdansk, where 7R is planning another investment, are factors that are maximizing the potential of companies planning logistics operations in northern Poland.

“The location of the warehouse has the required infrastructure and is well-served by public transport. The warehouse is also an attractive one for employees as it offers a comfortable working environment and increases the possibility of successfully recruiting prospective candidates.  In addition, the 7R city warehouse offers space of the highest quality. This involves using ecological solutions, which improve energy efficiency,” explains Klaudia Dąbroś, Consultant in the Department of Leasing Industrial and Warehouse Space, JLL.
