Prologis has opened a 30,000 sqm speculative distribution facility at Prologis Park Prague-Airport.
Inspired by the location, the aviation-themed grand opening event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by Prologis managing director and regional head for Central and Eastern Europe, Ben Bannatyne; Prologis senior vice president and country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Martin Polak; Governor of the Central Bohemian Region Miloš Petera and the Vice Mayor of Jeneč, Michal Stark. More than 100 guests, including Prologis customers and business partners, city officials and media representatives enjoyed a festive ceremony followed by a tour of the facility, DC1.
“The opening of this new Class-A facility is a welcome investment in the Central Bohemian Region,” said Miloš Petera. “We commend Prologis for developing this project with the greatest of respect for the environment and we look forward to future partnerships with Prologis as the site is developed further.”
Prologis Park Prague-Airport DC1 was designed to offer flexibility and state-of-the-art technological solutions, including energy efficient features. During construction, strict rules were put into place to protect the building’s environment, existing ecological features and onsite workers. The facility also adheres to the latest standards for sustainability set out in the BREEAM environmental assessment method and rating system, including external energy-efficient LED lights, natural irrigation of greenery and an optimal energy-saving heating system with gas-fired tube heaters.

Prologis Park Prague-Airport is adjacent to exit 7 of the R6 highway, five minutes from Václav Havel Prague Airport. The site also provides excellent access to national and international traffic and trade routes via the Prague ring road to the D5 highway, which connects Prague with Pilsen and onto Germany.
