Panattoni Europe expands the supply of warehouse space in Bielsko-Biała and Upper Silesia. The developer, who was the first in the sector to recognise the potential of Bielsko-Biała and initiate modern warehouse space there, has embarked on its fourth investment project in the “city of 100 industries”. It is Panattoni Park Bielsko-Biała III – the largest warehouse project in the Podbeskidzie region, with close to 68,500 sqm. It will be developed in two stages – with the first accounting for close to 27,000 sqm, of which more than 11,000 sqm has already been spoken for – 7,500 sqm will be taken up by Seifert Logistics Group to run logistics operations in the region, while 3,600 sqm will be held by an interior design company, who will use it not only as a warehouse facility supporting the store, but also as a pickup point for customers.
The developer’s most recent investment elicited this comment from Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director, Panattoni Europe: “Upper Silesia enjoys the status of one of the most attractive warehousing regions in Europe, as evidenced by Panattoni Europe’s projects in Czeladź, Gliwice, Mysłowice, Ruda Śląska, Sosnowiec and, last but by no means least, Bielsko-Biała. I can safely say that the Podbeskidzie region is where Panattoni took its first steps in Europe, creating the then non-existent warehouse space in Bielsko-Biała”. He then went on to say: “Panattoni Park Bielsko-Biała III is our fourth investment project in the Podbeskidzie region. Apart from our own warehouse complexes, Panattoni Europe also developed a brilliant factory for GE Energy Management, bringing the total space up to nearly 176,000 sqm.”
Bielsko-Biała with its metropolitan area provides ideal conditions for distribution and trade in the CEE market, which is due to its location – a short distance from the Czech Ostrava, Slovakian Žilina, as well as the Silesian Metropolis and Krakow. In addition, the city’s location at the intersection of international transportation routes leading to the border with the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic contributes to its dynamic growth. That is why Panattoni Park Bielsko-Biała III lies in the direct vicinity of the upcoming S1 expressway, which will connect the A1 motorway at Pyrzowice with the Slovakian border in Zwardoń. It will run through the urbanised areas of Upper Silesia and partly Lesser Poland, where Panattoni Europe has a strong presence.
