Goodman expands cooperation with Gestamp and completes first warehouse at Goodman Wrocław IV Logistics Centre – EuropaProperty

Goodman Group has leased an additional 3,300 sqm of warehouse space to Gestamp, an international group specialising in the design, development and manufacturing of metal automotive components. The new agreement increases the total area occupied by Gestamp at the Goodman Wrocław IV Logistics Centre to 22,700 sqm. Additionally, the logistics centre has 16,700 sqm of warehouse space available for immediate lease.

Gestamp’s new production facility will cater to its key automotive clients in Western Europe and will employ approximately 300 people. Goodman’s logistics centre also gives Gestamp the option to expand the facility by up to 44,000 sqm, catering for its future business growth.

“In the course of constructing our new production facility in Wrocław, Goodman supported us with their experience in adapting the property to meet our operational needs. Additionally, Goodman offered the possibility to immediately lease additional warehouse space to support our growing business. Thanks to this we now have a modern facility that will enable us to expand our operations and deepen our cooperation with auto manufacturers from Western Europe,” said José Rogel Sanchez, General Manager Gestamp Polska.

Goodman finished constructing the first building at Goodman Wrocław IV Logistics Centre in October. Gestamp had pre-leased approximately half of the nearly 40,000 sqm building, with the remaining space having been developed on a speculative basis. Upon completion, Gestamp signed a lease for an additional 3,300 sqm, while the remaining 16,700 sqm of space is available for lease and can be adapted for the individual needs of a new customer.

“Wrocław is one of the most dynamic logistics regions on the Polish warehousing map. We are fully convinced by Wrocław’s potential, having developed a strategic portfolio consisting of over 230,000 sqm of logistics space,” explained Błażej Ciesielczak, Goodman Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe. “Given low vacancy rates and high demand in Wrocław, it was prudent to develop on a speculative basis at our Goodman Wrocław IV Logistics Centre, which has already shown positive results.”
