The British investment fund Raven Russia, a leader of the Russian market for warehouse and industrial real estate, and Toyota Motor LLC, the official importer and distributor of Toyota and Lexus automobiles, components and accessories in Russia and Belarus, have signed a long-term lease agreement for 4,802 sqm of space at the Class A Ob logistics park in Novosibirsk.
The leased space includes office premises (246 sqm) and a warehouse for parts and accessories of Toyota and Lexus models (4,556 sqm). The international real estate consultancy Colliers International represented the project developer Raven Russia in the deal.
The lease agreement has a term of 5 years. The warehouse premises, which are to be used for the storage of the full range of automotive parts and accessories for Toyota and Lexus models, including flammable materials, are equipped with fire safety systems in full compliance with Russian regulations and have been fully adapted to correspond with the tenant’s corporate standards.
The Ob logistics park is situated on 18 hectares to the south of Novosibirsk along the M51 highway, which connects the city with Moscow. The property also has convenient access from Petukhova street. The area of the property’s warehouse terminals totals 120,361 sqm. Tenants include major Russian and international brands, such as Oriflame, PepsiCo and Sportmaster, among others.
Igor Bogorodov, Head of the Moscow Branch of Raven Russia, commented: “We are pleased that the regional warehouse for Toyota and Lexus parts will be located at the Ob logistics park. Thanks to the unique experience of our team in the realization of specialized warehouse terminals we succeeded in creating a project, which fully complies with the requirements of Toyota and Lexus. In doing so, Raven Russia became the first developer on the Russian warehouse market to offer the tenant warehouse premises for storage of automotive parts and accessories, including flammable materials.”
Vladislav Ryabov, Partner, Regional Director of the Warehouse, Industrial and Land Department, Colliers International Russia, added: “The Ob logistics park is in high demand among both Russian and international companies. The property is practically completely occupied with tenants, which is a sign of its high quality. So there is no question that Toyota Motor made the right choice in selecting Raven Russia’s project.”
Andrew Scherbakov, Director for Spare Parts Supply and Warehouse Operations, Toyota Motor LLC, said: “The opening of the regional warehouse is a major step forward in serving our clients and dealers. The well-organized work of the warehouse ensures the uninterrupted and timely delivery of spare parts and guarantees a high level of client satisfaction.”
